We have celebrated one Procession for 2020 but there are three more chances to participate.
Minor Rogation Days - Unite your prayers with us at all three times or join us for one.
Mon. May 18 @ 6pm. - Tues. May 19 @ 12pm - Wed. May 20 @ 8am
In the Tradition of our Church, there are “Rogation Days” - days set aside to ask God to grant a bountiful harvest, asking for protection, and in particular to ask for deliverance from plagues and pestilence. Well here we are suffering from plague, so I will be leading a simple procession inside and then also outside the church (going around the block).
Rogation comes from "rogare" which in latin means, "to ask." God's Providence is always merciful yet, due to sin, we must humble ourselves. A procession is a formal way to show our repentance and ask for relief.
Because of the current guidelines I cannot invite people to this event, however, since I will be walking outside the church, if you happen to be walking or driving by the church during the procession times and would like to stop and participate from an appropriate distance in the parking lot, I don’t see why not. I will put the prayers and litanies on our website and Facebook page if you would like to follow along. St. Paul, pray for us!
