It is important to remember what is essential, and God is essential! For those who are healthy and comfortable doing so, please make a trip to the church and pray that God delivers us from this pandemic.
Church will be open for prayer:
Tuesdays of June 9am-3pm
Also Confession available Fridays 4pm-5
Confessions can be requested by calling the rectory for an appointment and anonymity will be respected.
We are all rightly concerned with taking the proper precautions during this time. The Church and Her sacraments ARE ESSENTIAL because Jesus is essential! With that being said, we must conduct the church's ministry understanding our unique circumstances. If one is sick or showing symptoms please stay at home! If you are in need of confession or anointing, please call the rectory (330)724-1263 and we can make an appointment for a priest to visit you.
During the specified times, these are the precautions we are taking:
- In Church and Narthex:
- Cleaning the church and bathrooms appropriately on a regular basis.
- Purell stations at entrances.
- Most doors kept open to reduce contact.
- Volunteer present in narthex to remind people of proper distancing and to answer questions.
- Volunteer gives sanitizing wipes to people as they enter.
- Volunteer there to sanitize surfaces as necessary.
- In Confessional:
- It is a large ventilated room (not the traditional confession box).
- A screen separates priest and penitent.
- A chair and kneeler are placed at appropriate distance from screen.
- Purell is available to each penitent.
- Sanitizing wipes are given to each penitent to touch the door handle.
I believe we are doing more than enough to make the church appropriately available while keeping people safe. With your cooperation, we can do it.
