Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, How is Lent Going? This season is truly an opportunity to grow in grace. It is truly a blessing to delve deeper into the spiritual life. But like anything worth doing it requires effort, sacrifice, and ever more dependence on God. How are we becoming more detached from creaturely things and worldly pursuits? How are we becoming more attached to the things of God?
Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, FAITH FORMATION TODAY! Since it is the third Sunday of the month, it is Faith Formation time! Join us as we delve deeper into the recent decree from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. It caused quite a stir in the catholic and secular media outlets when it was promulgated in December. There was a further clarification given last month as well. When it comes to the Church’s teaching on chastity and how this applies to those who have same-sex attraction, there is often rash judgments and confusion. Come and learn how we truly accompany people toward life in Christ and how we can navigate through difficult times, even when the difficulties seem to be coming from within the church. February 18th in the PAC from 9:15-10:15.
Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Thanks for the Great Feast! Thanks to all for celebrating a great Feast Day last week. It was so wonderful to pray our Novena, and have Solemn Benediction after the Masses along with the Eucharistic Miracle Display! I hope the graces God gave us will continue to bear fruit over the coming months. I know it is six months away, but I would like to plan again for a “Feast Day 2.0.” Last summer in late June in honor of the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, we had a great parish Mass followed by a potluck and even a juggling show! I know it is it tough to do as much at this time of year, so we try to spread it out.
