Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Happy Pentecost! Blessings continue! Last week I attended the ordination of six new priests for the diocese of Cleveland. It was encouraging to see the Lord continue to send laborers into his fields. It was uplifting for me as I remembered my ordination day. God gave me that gift of encouragement through you all as well. Thank you to everyone who offered me congratulations and blessings on my 14th anniversary of ordination. It is quite amazing how time flies! Of those fourteen years, over nine of them have been here at St. Paul Parish. Being pastor here continues to be a great blessing to me.
Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, More and More Easter Graces! - Happy Easter! Ascension “Thursday Sunday” - Ad orientem The Feast of the Ascension is forty days following Easter, which always falls on a Thursday. However, in our diocese, the bishop continues to instruct us by moving the celebration to Sunday. This great feast is attested in the Scriptures, is referenced in the canon of the Mass, and is the reason Mary and the Apostles, the early Church, and we too can become ready to receive the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. As has been our custom the past few years, we will celebrate the Masses “ad orientem” this week as we look together toward the Lord, and together await the great feast of Pentecost!

Rogation Day - We will celebrate the minor litanies on Monday May 15 at 6pm. This will include a procession outside (weather permitting) followed by Mass in the Extraordinary Form.
