Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Live Streaming is Here! Thankfully due to the efforts of a couple of our younger parishioners we can live stream events on “Facebook Live.” At the time of this writing our plan is to live stream the Holy Week Liturgies of Palm Sunday at 8:30am, Holy Thursday at 7pm, Good Friday at 3pm, and Easter Vigil at 8pm, and Easter Sunday at 9:30am. At the time of this writing there are still a few things to work out and this
should be the schedule. So keep checking the website or our facebook page or our parish app for updates. Thanks again to Hanna and Joe for making this possible. Watching the liturgy even if it is live is not the same as being there, but we strive to do what we can as best we can. I did not want to announce this until we were sure we could make it work, sorry for the short notice. Spread the word and be patient because in this weird time we have to constantly make adjustments.
Church is Open for Prayer and Confessions Last week we opened the church for prayer and confessions. It went very well. There was good participation while not having too many people at once. Everyone was respectful of social distancing and we made sure surfaces were sanitized continuously. We will continue this on the following dates:
Palm Sunday April 5
th from 10am-noon
Tuesday April 7
th from 9am-noon
I encourage you to take advantage of these times if possible. If one is sick or more vulnerable and would like confession, please call me for individual appointments.
Stay strong in faith. Keep praying and offering penance. Keep checking the website, our app, and facebook. We will get through this!!!
Also we have launched a new mobile app for our parish. It is called,“myParish.” Download it today and receive updates and messages from me during this time. Check the bulletin announcement in this issue, for download instructions.
Keep in mind the offertory collection as well. This is a tough time for all, but if you are able please either send in or drop off your offering. There will be baskets in the narthex during our open hours as well to receive your offering.
