Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ,
His Church, and All People
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Lord is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
The tomb is empty for the Lord has risen as he said! The Lord never fails at His promises. He forgives.; He raises up those who repent. By His wounds we are healed and with His Resurrection we have access to divine life by grace. Today is why we have joy; today is why we are Christians! Without today all our penances would be for naught.
Divine Mercy Novena
The Divine Mercy Novena began on Good Friday and concludes next Sunday on April 27, Divine Mercy Sunday. The daily prayers of the Novena are posted daily at 3pm on our facebook page, if you would like to follow along. We will honor the devotion at all the Masses next weekend during time of Adoration after Holy Communion. Here is a website that can help as well. https://www.divinemercy.org/
As you may have noticed our monthly adoration schedule and our faith formation schedule has switched a bit due to the Easter season. Note that there will be no extra adoration time on weekend of May 3rd and 4th , but will resume the first weekend of June. Faith Formation will resume on May 18th, 3rd Sunday of May, from 9:15-10:15.
Thank you!
A shout out to all those who helped make this past week so special. Our sacristans, decorators, servers, lectors, ushers, cantors, and musicians. Also, the whole parish staff, all our volunteers, and every parishioner who contours to glorify God with your participation at Mass, service to the poor, and spreading the Gospel in your everyday life. Be encouraged that Christ is risen, and let’s not be afraid to give people reason to have hope!
Another Thank You!
The northeast wall of the church looks pretty awesome, right? That is the Easter surprise. Thank you to Denis Randall for many hours of imagination and hard work to salvage what we could from the old PAC doors, and even now we have a devotional space for our relic of St. Paul!
Last year we got a cool decorative tomb for Easter. Now we have a new devotional space. Hmmm, I wonder what will come next?
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Pfr
