Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ,
His Church, and All People
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thank you!
Last weekend was the annual Diocesan Catholic Charities Appeal. Thank you for your continued generosity. If you still have a pledge card, please fill it out and simply place it in the collection basket at Mass or drop it off at the rectory. If you are still discerning how you would like to give, please check out this website to learn more:

Speaking of Your Generosity
Finance Council met last week and noticed that as of right now our offertory numbers are a bit ahead of our projections. Thank you to all who have taken to heart my request for everyone to increase their weekly offertory giving. Please keep it going! As always if you have any questions about our finances or would like to discuss making particular donations, please call me at the rectory.
Old Chapel Door Panels
It’s been a few weeks now and the comments have all been positive on the proposal made to move the metal sculpture from the church back to the PAC. We will then repaint the back wall and hang the newly restored door panels. More details and a timeline coming soon.
Bishop’s Pastoral Letter
Everyone should have received in the mail Bishop Malesic’s Pastoral letter: A Flourishing Apostolic Church. His expectation is that this letter be at the forefront of conversation for parishes. The bishop is our diocesan pastor and our spiritual father, so we owe him the respect to take his letter seriously and implement his vision as best we can. We will take his opening recommendation to heart by praying with his letter in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
Next weekend we will make available Part 1 of his letter to be read and prayed with during our adoration time after Communion at all the Masses. If you did not receive a copy of the letter, please call the Rectory and we will send you a copy.
Lent is Coming!
Ash Wednesday is March 5. We just finished a wonderful run of feasts: Christmas, Epiphany, St. Paul, and the Presentation. So now we look forward to the times of penance. This wonderful spiritual rhythm helps us grow with God’s grace to new heights and greater charity. But we must use the time well. Start thinking and praying now to discern your Lenten discipline. Perhaps the charity appeal or our parish needs can be a part of upcoming almsgiving. Also, there will be more times for confession every week of Lent. In addition to our regular parish times on Friday and Saturday there will be:
Tuesday March 11 @ 5-6 @ St. Paul
Wednesday March 19 @ 5-8 @ St. Paul (Diocesan Night of Confessions)
Tuesday March 25 @ 5-6 @ St. Paul
Tuesday April 1 @ 5-6 @ St. Paul (Cluster Confession Night)
Tuesday April 8 @ 5-6 @ St. Francis de Sales (Cluster Confession Night)
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Pfr
