Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Easter Season Continues!
Just as our Lord stayed with His disciples for forty days until His Ascension, so we meditate during this time on the truth of the Resurrection in our lives.  How are we living and witnessing to that truth, the truth on which the whole world is now hinged, whether the world knows it or not.  People often speak of being on the “right side of history.”  Well history is centered on the person of Christ and His victory over death.  That’s the side we want to be on.

May Crowning this weekend!
At the 4:30 Mass this weekend we will crown our Statue of Mary in the Church to honor our Lady and all the ways God has graced her.  This month is dedicated to her so that we may follow her example of holiness and totally entrust our lives to God’s Providence.  In so doing, God can work through us to bring salvation to the world.  Later this month, if the weather cooperates we will have a procession to the Marian shrine at the rectory.

Fr. Sal from Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church to talk on May 16 at 6pm at St. Paul’s. 
Change in Faith Formation schedule!
In light of the ongoing struggle in Ukraine, we have invited Fr. Sal, the pastor of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church to come and speak about the hardships that priests and their families suffer in his Fr’s home country.  I will reschedule my talk for a different time.  His talk will be in the church during a time of prayer, which will include adoration and solemn benediction.  At the end Fr. Sal will ask for any donations for him to assist his countrymen. Please join in learning, praying, and assisting our brothers and sisters in need.

Cluster Parish Rosary Through May
The four parishes of our cluster want to foster devotion to our Blessed Mother during her month.  So on select Tuesdays there will be Marian Devotions including the rosary at our parishes.  Note there has been a change in the schedule. Each evening will begin at 6pm
May 10 - Queen of Heaven, May 17 - St. Paul, May 24 - Nativity, May 31 - St. Francis de Sales
