Encouraging the Culture of Encounter with Jesus Christ, His Church, and All People
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thank you Ladies Guild! Wow, what a great Rummage sale the Ladies’ Guild hosted two weeks ago! Thank you to all the ladies who helped (and I think a few men showed up too) putting many hours of hard work into a great event for the parish and the whole community. Especially since we did not have the sale last year due to covid, this year the PAC was full of items. It was well organized with patient and friendly people giving good witness to Christ and to our parish. I am so proud of what they did. I do not know the exact amount, but I heard the earnings were around $4300! Thank so much for your dedication to our Lord and St. Paul Parish!
Keep Checking our website and YouTube channel! Last Sunday in honor of Father’s Day we celebrated a crowning of our St. Joseph statue. St. Joseph is patron of husbands and fathers. Check our website and YouTube channel for the video. You will see parishioners Nikolai Burke (who received his first communion last month) and his father bring forward the crown. Thank you to Joe Guzi who braved the ladder to place the crown. Thanks to Hanna Lidderdale who recorded and posted the video. Also, parishioner Don Howe edited a book of St. Joseph Hymns; it is from his book that we sang the song in the video - pretty cool don’t you think! Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel and share!
Honoring St. Joseph How blessed we are to have this year of St. Joseph. He is the patron of husbands, fathers, and the universal church. May we look to his example to help us as we pray for our earthly and spiritual fathers. We will continue honoring St. Joseph in the coming weeks by praying his litany after all the Masses. Also, we will sing St. Joseph hymns at Masses using the book parishioner Don Howe edited and published recently.
Donut Sundays Currently there are parishioner volunteers that organize a donut Sunday after the 9:30 Mass just about every week. If there are others from the 8am or 11:30 Masses that would be willing to do something similar after their respective Masses (even if not every week), please call the rectory so we can coordinate with you. As we get past covid, it is a good idea for us to make sure we foster our parish social life as best we can.
